In this CME Outfitters BriefCase, we will follow Maria, a 52-year-old Latina woman who has been diagnosed with obesity and type 2 diabetes, as she navigates the healthcare system seeking respectful and holistic medical care. Expert faculty will discuss the nuances of the case and will highlight the importance of recognizing not only the healthcare disparities related to obesity in general, but also the intersectional impact that obesity can have on preexisting racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare outcomes.

In this CMEO BriefCase, expert faculty will utilize case-based learning to illustrate these pervasive disparities through the stories of two patients, Francisco and Samantha, while offering strategies to address inequities in the treatment and outcomes of patients with atrial fibrillation and complex cardiovascular disease.

In this CME Outfitters BriefCase, expert faculty will present two to three patient cases that will showcase how clinicians can integrate best practices to mitigate disparities in the management of cardiac rhythm disorders across race, ethnicity, and gender.

In this CME Outfitters BriefCase activity, an expert faculty follows the journey of a 48-year-old Black female with AF to illuminate disparities in the quality of care she is offered. Frank questions and candid discussions about the impact of implicit bias, social determinants of health, shared decision making, and health literacy provide actionable and individualized strategies to improve outcomes for all patients with AF.

This CME Outfitters podcast will focus on identifying inequitable processes and pathways in the prevalence, screening, diagnosis, and management of CVD/arrythmia disorders in URM populations; how HCPs can develop solutions to recognize and address biases; and how to integrate best practices and guidelines to account for structural racism and barriers in the prevention, care, and management of medically underserved patients with CVD.

This CME Outfitters Live and OnDemand will focus on identifying structural and social determinants of health (SDOH) and clinician biases that place minority patients at risk for poorer outcomes in cardiovascular disease and implementing health care practices to improve these outcomes.

In this CME Outfitters BriefCase, part of a collection on health equity, expert faculty will discuss actionable strategies to enhance health equity in the management of cardiovascular disorders. The focus will be on identifying and addressing social drivers of health (SDoH) that contribute to disparities, integrating holistic treatment approaches, and employing team-based strategies to ensure equitable care. Learners will gain tools to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of hypertension and other cardiovascular conditions, particularly in high-risk, underserved populations.
