About CME Outfitters
Evidence Tells Us What Works. Patients Tell Us What Matters.
Independent, evidence-driven CME built where clinical proof and lived experience meet.
Since 2002, CME Outfitters has delivered innovative evidence-based educational activities to thousands of clinicians each year and offers expert accreditation and outcome services for non-accredited organizations. In the years since, we have produced more than 6,000 activities and issued over a million certificates across 20+ years of accreditation with commendation.
Educating Medical Professionals
Since 2002
CME Outfitters focuses on delivering education to primary care, specialty audiences, and community-based clinicians with strong expertise in neuroscience, gastroenterology, dermatology, rheumatology, immunology, virology, transplant, and cardiology. In July of 2020, CME Outfitters became part of KnowFully Learning Group, a leading provider of continuing professional education and exam preparation courses to the healthcare and financial services sectors. Combining forces with KnowFully allows CME Outfitters to more quickly innovate and expand its breadth of educational activities.

What We Stand For
Three commitments shape every program we build.
Patients in the Planning, Not Just the Programming
“Amplifying the patient voice” is a phrase that gets used a lot in our field. We hold ourselves to a different standard: patient voice has to be operational, not decorative.
Here is what that looks like in our work:
Patients on our planning committees. Every educational activity starts with a planning committee. Patients sit on ours — not as advisors consulted at the end, but as voting members who shape needs, learning objectives, and content priorities from the start.
Patient-informed needs assessments. Before we design an activity, we survey patients living with the condition. What did your clinician get right? What did they miss? What do you wish they knew? Their answers shape what we teach.
Patients as content reviewers. Before content reaches a learner, patients review it for accuracy of lived experience, language that respects rather than reduces, and gaps a clinician might not notice.
Patients as faculty. Patients teach alongside clinicians in our activities. Because the most evidence-based answer to “what does this disease feel like” is the answer of someone living it.
“I learned a lot and while we are in adult care, you raised so many issues I had not thought about. Example: advance directives. I am not sure I am ready but to your point, it is best for my son.”
— A Caregiver
Commitment to Health Equity
Equity is not an epilogue. It is the lens we apply at the start of every planning conversation. Whose pain is undertreated. Whose symptoms get dismissed. Whose neighborhood has the specialist — and whose does not. We build education that names these patterns and equips clinicians to interrupt them.
Commitment to Best-in-Class Science
The evidence base moves. We move with it. When a landmark trial reframes a standard of care, we do not wait for our next funding cycle to update the work. We refresh content. We update activities. We retrain faculty. Our learners deserve education that reflects the science as it is today, not the science as it was when the grant was written.

Our Impact in Action
Values are easy to write down. The harder question is whether they show up in outcomes — in what clinicians do differently, in what patients experience, in what faculty say about working with us. So we put the proof on a page.
