Artificial intelligence is reshaping nearly every corner of healthcare, and continuing medical education is no exception. At KnowFully Medical Education (KME)–which includes CME Outfitters, CE Concepts, and Efficient CME, we believe that how our industry adopts AI matters just as much as the technology itself. That’s why we’re proud to be actively involved in guiding that conversation at the highest levels.
KME’s Marie Judkins has been serving on the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp) Artificial Intelligence Committee, a body that grew out of an AI Task Force in 2024 and was formally established as a standing committee in 2025. This evolution reflects a growing recognition across the field that AI isn’t a passing trend but a foundational shift that demands thoughtful, ongoing attention.
The committee’s work is both practical and principled. Members continuously gather feedback from across the industry to understand how AI tools are actually being used in continuing health education and where clearer guidance is needed. One of its most significant early contributions was the Alliance AI Position Statement, developed in 2024, which provides a framework for responsible AI integration in our field and was showcased at the Alliance 2025 Annual Meeting.
For KME, participation in this work isn’t just another project. It’s a reflection of our core values. We’re committed to innovation that is ethical, collaborative, and genuinely useful to the clinicians we serve. As AI continues to evolve, so will our commitment to making sure it’s used ethically.
To see our AI innovations in action, take part in our new activity, A CaseWise Initiative – Mission Possible: Matching Treatment Goals of Patients and Providers in IBD in Clinical Practice. Through dynamic patient cases, learners compare their treatment decisions with those of leading experts, community providers, their peers, patients themselves, and AI-driven insights
