Better Communication = Better Care. 10 Questions You Should Know

In support of patients taking a more active role in their healthcare, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), has provided patients with “10 Questions” every healthcare consumer should have the answers too regarding their disease and/or care.

“Quality health is a team effort,” says AHRQ, in a plea to encourage patients to communicate with their doctors and their healthcare team by asking questions. Patients who arrive at their doctor appointments with questions in hand, may feel as if they “get more” out of their office visits, by having answers to their specific and important questions. Doctors in turn will learn more about their patients’ concerns to help them take better care of their patients, leading to better results in quality, safety and satisfaction with patient care.
